Professor Daniel Carpi (August 3, 1926 – December 3, 2005) was an historian with an expertise on Italian Jewry.  Professor Carpi was Head of the Department of Jewish History at the Tel Aviv University.

The Italian collection, comprises Professor Carpi's books, was donated to the University by his wife, Judith.

Professor Carpi's books were written and collected during his 40 years of research at the Tel-Aviv University.

The books in the collection refer to Italian history, literature and logic, emphasizing the part of Italian Jewry throughout the ages. The collection consists of books, journals and dictionaries, which were all part of Prof.

Carpi's collection.
